An exciting position has become available at one of our local independent special schools in Devon for an SEN Teacher to join their team of dedicated teachers on a long term supply basis. The successful candidate will be required to be responsible for a small group (3–4) of students with behavioural issues.
The school are ideally looking for an exceptional individual who has good all round skills. Although the students at the school are of secondary age, their education level is mostly at primary level, so experience in teaching KS 1 and 2 would be beneficial. In addition to this, it would be advantageous if they also specialise in one of the following subjects; art, food technology or PE. However, the most essential requirement must be experience within EBD.
The school provides education and residential care for up to 40 secondary-age students who have severe emotional and behavioural difficulties. A majority of these have a statement of special educational needs. |
