HAVE A NEW

BE PART OF THE
OF TEACHING TALENT
Earn up to £13,000 in year one and up to £20,000 in year two. Once qualified, your salary potential is only limited by your ambition as senior headteachers can earn six-figure salaries.
No pupil, class or school is the same; successful teachers are skillful and adaptive to whatever comes their way each lesson.
To their students, teachers can be so much more than an educator. Teachers support, prepare, nurture and encourage children, unlocking their full potential.
Educational research and new technologies are informing innovative ways of teaching.
In addition to the training days, a leading university will be providing you with access to their Virtual Learning Environment. This has the advice, support and guidance you will need for your placements.
Throughout the programme and during your school placements, you will receive ongoing support from your personal consultant, as well as your trainer, mentor and fellow trainees. Your trainer will visit you at school throughout the year, meaning schools, mentors and trainees will be given the time to openly discuss anything notable about your development – positive or negative – in a safe and constructive environment.
As well as training sessions and regular observations, we at Grad2Teach encourage positive collaboration through face to face meetings and events. These include summer socials as well as half-termly group sessions where trainees are all invited to get together and talk about successes, challenges and/or problems they’re having on the course in a safe environment without fear of judgement or scorn.
All trainees enrolled on the programme will be given access to our online CPD platform and encouraged to join our trainee network where ideas, notable experiences and any problems can be openly discussed.
You must have a commitment to folow your dreams and a desire to fulfill your purpose in life to give the gift of teaching to future generations
You must demonstrate an ability to learn on the job but also dedicate time outside work to achieve the best you can.
The programme has been designed by teachers to help support you on your journey, but a strong personal responsibility and work ethic will be required.
A leading university
It is the only independent university in the UK with a Royal Charter, and probably the smallest with around 2,700 students (approx 1,600 on campus). Honour degrees are achieved in two intensive years of study. we keep class sizes small, with a student to academic staff ratio of 10. and the Oxbridge style tutorial groups are often personalised and always exhilarating.
The University campus is well known for being one of the most attractive locations in the region. The Great Ouse river, home to much wildlife, winds through the heart of our campus. much of our teaching takes place in our restored building such as the Franciscan building, formerly a friary, and, Chandos Road Building, a converted turn of the century milk factory, while students can also enjoy the Hunter Steeet Library, once military barracks.
The Grad2Teach programme starts in September each year but the application process takes place throughout the year so you can secure a place at any time.
