Step Teachers are currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a Primary School within Bishop Stortford. The role is to support a child on a one-to-one basis. Working part of a team and getting the best out of the child. This is a long term contract, commencing immediately, which may possibly progress to permanent opportunity within the school, for the successful candidate.
To be eligible for this role you will have;
- Proven experience in dealing with challenging behaviour
- The ability to manage various tasks required by the class teacher
- Experience supporting pupils on a 1 to 1 basis
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to motivate pupils to learn
- Have patience with children who find conforming to rules and expectations difficult
The Bishop Stortford primary school's pupils are happy, safe and well looked after. The teachers have a really good connection with the pupils. Children with educational needs are included well in each class and enjoy school life.
