Cover Supervisor – Secondary School
This is a thriving 11–16 secondary school and part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership. The school was judged Good by Ofsted in its most recent inspection, with inspectors recognising strengths in Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership and Management.

Duties as Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences
- Deliver pre-planned lesson materials across a range of subjects
- Maintain a calm, productive, and positive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies
- Ensure students remain engaged and focused on their learning
- Record attendance and report any concerns to relevant staff
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and student behaviour
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence leading classes independently
- Organised, adaptable, and professional approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
