A fantastic single-sex academy school in Plymouth have asked the team at Step Teachers to recruit an exceptional Design & Technology teacher to work on a supply basis to start in January 2020.  This is an ongoing assignment that could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The school have said they are prepared to consider excellent newly qualified teachers for the position so if you are looking for your first position after qualifying this could be an ideal position for you.  Naturally, the school will also look at applications from more experienced teachers for the position of design and technology teacher.

To be considered for the position of design and technology teacher:

  • You will have schemes of work that are creative, varied and flexible enough to promote differentiation and commitment towards pupil progression
  • The appointed teacher should motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work
  • At the heart of everything you do will be your passion for your subject
  • You have an understanding of personalized learning

The school is proud of the hard work they have put in to have moved from “good” to “outstanding” at its last Ofsted report.  However, they are not resting on their laurels and are determined to maintain the drive to improve standards even further. Working together as a team has achieved these results and you will be a real “team player” to be suitable for the position.
