One of our partner schools in Hertfordshire has asked us to recruit a full-time Drama teacher. This role is suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT) in addition to more experienced candidates. The position of a Drama teacher is a contract position exclusive to Step Teachers and is an exciting opportunity for a Drama teacher to work in an inclusive and thoughtful working environment. The school has a strong belief in each pupil fulfilling their potential, as a Drama Teacher is will be amidst your responsibilities to practise a confidence building and inspiring ethos.

  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Drama and related assessment practice is essential for a role of this nature.
  • The appointed Drama Teacher should motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work.
  • The successful Drama teacher should have demonstrable experience and an excellent working knowledge of Assessment for Learning.
  • Ideally the selected Drama teacher will have an undergraduate Drama degree from a United Kingdom university at 2:1 or above.
  • As Drama curriculum leader you will be expected to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, including with pupils, parents and carers, other staff and external agencies
