Food Technology Teacher - Long-term, temporary and ongoing, part-time starting September 2026

Here is a large and well-established secondary academy serving students aged 11–19 and is part of the Inspiration Trust. The school provides a broad and ambitious curriculum designed to support academic achievement and personal development for all learners.

Duties as Food Technology Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspire students to develop practical cooking skills and nutritional knowledge
Create a safe and stimulating learning environment within practical classrooms
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement, and participation
Support curriculum development within the department
Contribute to the wider life of the school community

Ideal Food Technology Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and health and safety requirements
Ability to deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
