Job description

A fantastic Primary school in the Tavistock area is currently recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Teacher from September 2023.

The position is a temporary position with a chance of extension. This school is proud of it "Outstanding" Ofsted rating and it has maintained performance at that level for the past few inspections. Pupil assessment is accurate, consistent, and rigorous. Staff satisfaction is central to the ethos of the school. 

Role:

  • Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
  • Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all of the associated resources
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Geography at secondary school level
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • SEND experience is desirable
