Job description

Step Teachers are looking to recruit a learning support assistant on behalf of a secondary school in the North Norfolk District who has experience supporting children of mixed abilities. Ideally, the right candidate will be able to build relationships quickly and can respond well to the pupils. This role is due to commence immediately and is initially available until December 2022.

The school is a mixed-sex, “good” Ofsted-rated school where students make good progress within the school and leave with attainment that is above the average. Students are keen to learn and their behaviour is good. The school leaders are giving the school a clear direction and improvements are in place.

Role:

  • Strong primary education curricular knowledge

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

  • Ability to assess and report on the students when required

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential

  • Have recent experience in a mainstream school or specialist provision
