My school in Hackney is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who has experience in Special Education needs within a classroom which is in a primary school setting and has a small group of children. The children are non- communicative and are severe ASD with some challenging behavior at times. There may be some personal care and help with feeding every day. Your role will be to take lead from the class teacher who is also supported by a HLTA and additional classroom support, you will be one of the support staff. 

The school is one of the most established schools within the borough and has an excellent reputation within the community and they obviously want you to be a part of the continued success they have achieved over the years. The school will support any new addition to ensure they have a positive working environment as this benefits you, the children and the school. 

You will be used to working with children and have a desire to take the next step into a school which potentially can offer a permanent position in the future. You may also have care experience or be from a care background and would like to work with special education needs children where you can achieve a better work-life balance.
