Job description

LSA – SRP Provision (SEND Unit), Temp to perm, full-time, starting September 2026

Duties as an LSA:

  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions
  • Assist pupils in accessing classroom learning across different year groups
  • Support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
  • Help create a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment

Ideal LSA:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Experience working within an SRP, SEND Unit, or specialist setting is desirable
  • Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to support pupils with varying needs and abilities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
