Job description

Step Teachers are looking for a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to teach French and German for a role beginning in April and continuing until the end of the academic year. As a long-term supply position, this role will involve planning and marking.

The school is located centrally in Norwich and was recognised as "Outstanding" in its most recent Ofsted inspection. The school is seeking to appoint a passionate MFL Teacher who will engage with and contribute towards this ethos of ambition, cooperation, and excellence.

As the ideal MFL Teacher for this role, you will:

  • Possess strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum for French (up to KS4) and German (up to KS3)

  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Upkeep a clean, tidy, and considerate classroom environment

  • Display a strong, mentoring personality toward students

  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, working to inspire good behaviour and a passion for learning

  • Cooperate with and support your colleagues and additional classroom staff

  • Be able to accurately assess and report on your students, and articulate solutions to their difficulties

  • Comply with and implement the school's policies, and take part in their supportive educational ethos

Requirements for this role:

  • QTS or equivalent

  • Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages

  • A relevant MFL-related degree is desirable
