Job description

One of our partner schools in Ware, East Hertfordshire has asked us to recruit an experienced Primary Teacher to take up an intervention role across Key Stage 2. The role of Primary Intervention Teacher will be on a part time basis and will involve a mixture of PPA cover and intervention classes for both numeracy and literacy. Ideally the school are hoping to find a Primary Teacher who can start in September 2019 but would be willing to consider applicants for the summer term
 

The ideal Primary Teacher will suit the following criteria:

  • You should have experience of planning and assessment for KS2 SATs
  • You should have an ability to identify, focus on and work towards achieving key objectives
  • You should understand the value of target setting as an aid to raising standards and improving attainment and achievement
  • Display creativity and an ability to inspire pupils through the planning, preparation and delivery of highly stimulating, motivating and well sequenced lessons

Our partner school located in East Hertfordshire is smaller in comparison to the average primary school in Hertfordshire and was most recently rated as “Good” by Ofsted. Priding themselves on being a close-knit community school, staff work together to provide a broad and balanced curriculum and opportunities for extra-curricular activities and special projects. Parents and Governors are keen to support children’s learning and high standards of behaviour and academic work are expected from the children. The school has benefitted from strong leadership resulting in significant improvement in the quality of teaching and the school is keen to maintain this with the appropriate provision of CPD.
