Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a talented Reception class teacher for a temporary position at one of our client schools in Hertfordshire. This position of a Reception teacher is offered through Step Teachers and will begin in March. The school is an exciting and dynamic place to work and as a Reception teacher you will be vital in allowing pupils to creatively develop.

  • The successful Reception teacher will hold positive values and attitudes and adopt high standards of behaviour in their professional role.
  • You will need confidence and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and philosophy.
  • You should have a teaching qualification suitable for primary education and experience as a Reception teacher.
  • Applications are welcome from experienced primary teachers of either Key Stage who can demonstrate recent and positive references.
  • You will have held at least one teaching position within the primary curriculum.
  • It is vital that you can demonstrate experience of planning and teaching all subjects in the primary curriculum.

We have been working with this school on a regular basis for the past few years and our teachers have always told us it is a lovely place to work. The pupils are well behaved and generally well supported in their studies at home and this is demonstrated by their progression through the School. Ofsted most recently graded them ‘good’.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
