We are urgently seeking to recruit a Reception teacher for a contract position in one of our trusted partner schools in the North London area. The role of a Reception teacher is set to commence in March and will be a temporary contract position in the first instance. This school is proud of its sustained progress and attention to individual pupil development. As a Reception teacher you will play a key role in ensuring this comes to fruition.

  • The Head Teacher has asked us to ensure that the chosen Reception teacher demonstrates the ability to establish high standards of conduct.
  • The selected Reception teacher should establish high expectations of emotional and learning behaviour in all pupils.
  • As a Reception teacher you will demonstrate an ability to organise, lead and manage a classroom effectively, including assigned support staff will be central to your role.
  • It is very important that you have a comprehensive understanding of good practice in Assessment for Learning.

Rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted it is massively over-subscribed and is considered a school of choice by parents across a wide area. The School is a place where people matter, they believe that individuality is very much an internal quality that they foster and encourage through the widest variety of learning experiences. They aim to get the very best out of every student; while through planning engaging learning, assessment, support and intervention, students know where they are in their learning and how to improve.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
