Job description

Step Teachers are delighted to be recruiting for the role of science teacher at this secondary school with academy status based in Framlingham, Suffolk.  To start in September the science teacher role will be initially on a supply basis for 4 terms but may lead to permanent employment.

You will need to be a fully experienced science teacher with disciplines across all subjects in the science spectrum. The school will consider teachers who have taken a break from the industry but they must be able to show some recent teaching experience.  All applicants will be asked to provide 2 references from previous schools they have worked with.

You should:

  • Have a teaching qualification in a science related field
  • Be able to deliver knowledge of the national curriculum for science and show related assessment practice
  • As the science teacher at the school you will be expected to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
  • Have good decision making skills
