Step Teachers are excited to announce that they are currently looking to employ a qualified Maths Teacher to provide regular cover in one of our user schools. This post is set to start ASAP and will be suited for both early career teachers as well as those with more experience. As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will be able to approach each day with a high level of enthusiasm and passion for your subject, inspiring pupils through exciting, creative lessons. If you are a Maths Teacher who is looking to make a genuine difference, then this could be the post for you!

Situated in Callington, our user school has set itself the task of becoming the most exciting and dynamic school in Cornwall, where both students and staff can thrive. The school also places a heavy focus on creating bespoke, personalized learning opportunities for all pupils, ensuring that children do not have ceilings placed on their abilities and that they are all adequately challenged and extended to achieve their best potential.

To apply for this role, you must have:

  • A teaching degree-granting QTS
  • An undergraduate degree in Maths
  • A strong passion for your subject.
  • A clear and robust behavioural management style that focuses on developing a positive rapport with students.
  • The ability to work closely with support staff, ensuring that learning is taking place efficiently and effectively.

Step Teachers are an agency listed as an approved supplier on the Crown Commercial Service.  This is a new framework for schools to use, ensuring they have access to reputable agencies that meet certain safeguarding and recruitment guidelines.  The DfE are heavily marketing this service across schools and we would strongly suggest making sure you are registered with a CCS approved agency moving forwards.  Registering with Step Teachers ensures you are working for a trusted partner of the DfE.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer, and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
