​​Step Teachers are looking for a Geography Teacher, either ECT or experienced, based in Braintree starting in September 2022. This is a contract for a full academic term dependent on performance and is at the school's discretion.

The position is at a secondary school in Braintree with an OFSTED 'GOOD' rating. The school is part of a Trust which places the students at the centre of their ethos, and strive for the success of all students regardless of their background.

Role:

• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum

• Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and associated resources

• Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom

• Ability to assess students and provide constructive feedback

• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons

• Compliance with the schools’ policies and implement effectively 

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or the equivalent of

• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Geography.

• A relevant Geography related degree is desirable
