Job description

An inclusive and encouraging school in North London has asked us to resource a SEN teacher for a temporary position to commence in March. The position of a SEN teacher would be suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and has the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. As an SEN teacher you will have a vital role in adapting curriculum and producing an environment in which pupils can reach their potential.

  • The appointed SEN Teacher should motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work.
  • The successful SEN teacher should have demonstrable experience and an excellent working knowledge of Assessment for Learning.
  • Ideally the selected [Insert Subject] teacher will have an undergraduate Special Educational Needs degree from a United Kingdom university at 2:1 or above.
  • As SEN curriculum leader you will be expected to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, including with pupils, parents and carers, other staff and external agencies.
