Job description

Part-time SENDCO Teacher – 3 days per week, starting January 2026

We are seeking a dedicated SENDCO Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school community. Duties as SENDCO Teacher:

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school
  • Support staff in identifying and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND
  • Develop and monitor individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals
  • Ensure compliance with statutory SEND requirements
  • Provide training and guidance to teaching and support staff
  • Contribute to whole-school development and inclusion strategies

Ideal SENDCO Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working as a SENDCO or in a SEND-focused role
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
