Teaching Assistant – Long-term, temporary and ongoing, part-time starting September 2026

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Supporting pupils within the classroom, in small groups, and on a one-to-one basis
  • Assisting with the delivery of engaging learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and participation in lessons
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and resource organisation
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, positive, and proactive approach
  • Ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
