Job description

Step Teachers have been tasked with finding an enthusiastic and committed welfare assistant for an Ofsted rated school of ‘Outstanding’ status to join their dedicated team of staff. This is a full-time, long-term role and is due to commence as soon as a suitable candidate is found. The school would like to interview candidates as soon as possible. 

The school have asked for a Welfare Assistant who displays the following attributes:

  • Must be First Aid trained
  • Experience is a similar role within a mainstream school is desirable
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records
  • Be well organised with the day-to-day tasks included in the role
  • Keep with the guidelines and procedures relating to safeguarding and child protection
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
