Job description

We are looking for a qualified Year 1 class teacher for a contract position which has become available in one of our favourite Stevenage schools. This is a temporary contract position through Step Teachers and applications are welcome from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) as well as those with more experience. The position of Year 1 class teacher is due to commence in March.

  • To make full use of the updated early years curriculum to deliver effective learning strategies.
  • The school are happy to consider an outstanding Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) but suggest that the role might be better suited to primary teachers with experience across the curriculum.
  • As a qualified Year 1 primary teacher you should be a creative and enthusiastic practitioner who is able to use all available resources to their full extent.
  • As a qualified Year 1 primary teacher you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with proven ability to understand and utilise current theory and practice in relation to learning and development.
