The coronavirus pandemic left a lasting legacy and few can underestimate the impact it had on the health, wellbeing, and education of our children. Recognising the devastating impact of the national lockdowns that ensued, the Government created a catch-up fund for schools. This ringfenced money was to be used by schools solely to provide extra tuition to children worst affected by the school closures.

Part of the Government’s approach was to create a National Tutoring Programme (NTP) to assist in the delivery of tuition.

Step Teachers recognised that we had a part to play. For over two decades, we had amassed a pool of over a thousand teachers. Sunny Hans, with the help of our tender writing team, submitted our successful application to become a preferred supplier on the NTP and since September 2021 we have been providing schools with in-person and virtual 1:1 1:2 1:3 tuition.

If you've yet to access your school's ringfenced funding and are unsure how to go about it, book a meeting with Sunny. He'll help you calculate the amount of money you have available and how best to maximise it; ensuring it reaches as many children as possible.
