Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated Early Years team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys supporting young children as they begin their learning journey. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as EYFS Teaching Assistant:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities based on the EYFS framework.
Work with individual children or small groups to promote language, social, emotional and physical development.
Help to set up and maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment, both indoors and outdoors.
Observe and record children’s progress and contribute to their learning journeys.
Provide personal care and emotional support when needed.
Support children with additional needs in an inclusive and nurturing way.
Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant:
Have experience working in an EYFS setting (nursery or Reception).
Be patient, warm, and responsive to the needs of young children.
Demonstrate a good understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
Have strong communication and teamwork skills as an EYFS Teaching Assistant.
Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning (or be working towards it).
