KS1 Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a nurturing, enthusiastic, and reliable KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the learning and development of children in Key Stage 1. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a KS1 Teaching Assistant:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the KS1 curriculum.

• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning, particularly in early literacy and numeracy.

• Assist in implementing phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds.

• Support pupils’ emotional and social development, encouraging positive behaviour and independence.

• Help with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and displays of children's work.

Ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with young children in a school setting (ideally KS1).

• A calm, patient, and proactive attitude.

• Good communication and teamwork skills as a KS1 Teaching Assistant.

• Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics approaches is desirable.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
