Job description

Are you a caring and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about helping children achieve their best? We are looking to appoint a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support learning and development across Key Stage 2 classes in June 2025.

KS2 Teaching Assistant Duties:

 

  • Support children’s learning through small group work, 1:1 support, and in-class assistance.

  • Help to deliver a rich, engaging and inclusive curriculum.

  • Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND or EAL.

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

  • Assist with preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation.

  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school.

Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience of working with children in a primary school setting, particularly KS2 (desirable).

  • A warm, patient and flexible approach with a genuine interest in supporting children’s learning.

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).

  • A positive team player with excellent communication skills as the KS2 Teaching Assistant.

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
