A secondary school in Swaffham have an opportunity for a male teaching assistant to join their team, working with a young male wheelchair user who needs support during school time. This will also be a mentoring role where you will provide guidance and be a supportive figure for the learner.
The position in is a short term role, on a full time basis for 4 weeks. Depending on funding this could go longer. The role will involve working as a Teaching Assistant on a 1-to-1 basis with a male wheelchair user.
- It is expected that the successful candidate will not only have a relevant Secondary experience, but also a Teaching Assistant qualification
- The successful candidate will be able to differentiate to students of varying abilities effectively, making sure that all pupils feel valued and included
- You will have experience working in a mainstream school as a Teaching Assistant.
- The successful Teaching Assistant will be engaging, enthusiastic, and motivating to their pupils.
Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK.
