Playworker

Here is a welcoming and inclusive primary school committed to providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for all pupils. We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Playworker to support their Breakfast Club and After-School Club, helping children to enjoy their time outside of regular classroom hours. Starting ASAP.

Duties as a Playworker:

• Supervise and engage children in a variety of fun and stimulating play-based activities.

• Ensure a safe, secure, and friendly environment at all times.

• Set up and clear away equipment and materials before and after sessions.

• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through play.

• Promote positive behaviour and provide pastoral care as needed.

• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and school staff.

Ideal Playworker:

• Experience working with children in a school or play setting.

• A warm, friendly, and patient manner.

• A strong understanding of the importance of play in children’s development.

• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team as a Playworker.

• A relevant qualification in Playwork or Childcare (Level 2 or above) – desirable but not essential.

• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
