Job description
Here is a welcoming and inclusive primary school committed to providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for all pupils. We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Playworker to support their Breakfast Club and After-School Club, helping children to enjoy their time outside of regular classroom hours. Starting ASAP.
Duties as a Playworker:
Supervise and engage children in a variety of fun and stimulating play-based activities.
Ensure a safe, secure, and friendly environment at all times.
Set up and clear away equipment and materials before and after sessions.
Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through play.
Promote positive behaviour and provide pastoral care as needed.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and school staff.
Ideal Playworker:
Experience working with children in a school or play setting.
A warm, friendly, and patient manner.
A strong understanding of the importance of play in children’s development.
The ability to work well independently and as part of a team as a Playworker.
A relevant qualification in Playwork or Childcare (Level 2 or above) – desirable but not essential.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
