Step Teachers are working closely with a "Good" Ofsted-rated Primary School in North Finchley to find an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis starting in April 2024. A successful Teaching Assistant would be starting at 8.30am and finishing at 1.30pm from Monday to Friday, and may be providing general support in the classroom or working more closely with small groups or individual students as required.

Teaching Assistant - Role:

• Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.
• Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
• Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.

Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as an Teaching Assistant in a Primary School.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
