Job description

Step Teachers are seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to join a C of E primary school situated at the heart of its local community. The school are looking for a compassionate, experienced Teaching Assistant to support 2 students across Reception & Year 1, with ASD.

The role is due to start after the May half term, full-time.

Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Supporting children's social, emotional, and intellectual development through interactive play and learning experiences
  • Providing individualised attention and support to children with varying needs and abilities
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for children at all times
  • Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements
  • As a Teaching Assistant, you must foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a mainstream 
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A relevant qualification in childcare is desirable
  • Relevant Level 3 or above qualification is desirable
