Job description

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team. Beginning September 2025.

Duties Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.

  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and help them reach their full potential.

  • Provide support for pupils with additional needs or learning barriers.

  • Help to prepare classroom resources and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour.

  • Support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing.

  • Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, or school trips if required.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting (desirable but not essential).

  • Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) is an advantage.

  • A patient, flexible, and positive attitude.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills as a Teaching Assistant.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
