Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a  supportive team. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

• Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering learning activities.

• Support pupils individually or in small groups to help them achieve their learning goals.

• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.

• Assist with the supervision of pupils during break times and school trips.

• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour.

• Support pupils with special educational needs and adapt resources where necessary.

• Help maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.

• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) is an advantage but not essential.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills as a Teaching Assistant.

• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

• Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative.
