Job description
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering learning activities.
Support pupils individually or in small groups to help them achieve their learning goals.
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
Assist with the supervision of pupils during break times and school trips.
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour.
Support pupils with special educational needs and adapt resources where necessary.
Help maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) is an advantage but not essential.
Good communication and interpersonal skills as a Teaching Assistant.
Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative.
