Step Teachers has been granted the task of finding an engaging and organised  General Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position based in East London for a Year 2 class. The position is set to commence as soon as the right person is found. 

The school have asked for a Teaching Assistant that demonstrates the following attributes:

• Experience working with children in a learning environment

• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment for longer time-periods

• Ability to complete various tasks required by the class teacher

• Experience with working with SEN is desirable 

• Fulfil the role with confidence and be creative in their work

• Level 2 or higher qualification desirable

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Working through our Guaranteed Pay Scheme (GPS), you will be available for work exclusively with Step Teachers Monday - Friday within the area of your local office. Relevant qualifications for your tier will be required. You will need to supply a Paid for Enhanced Child Workforce DBS that is on the Update Service. Alternatively, a DBS can be processed by Step Teachers upon receipt of a non-refundable payment of £55.
