Year 1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a caring and reliable Teaching Assistant to provide lunchtime cover for a Year 1 class. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to support their wellbeing and social development during the busy lunch period. Starting September 2025.

Ideal Year 1 Teaching Assistant:

• Supervise Year 1 pupils during lunch and playtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

• Support children with eating where needed and encourage healthy, positive mealtime routines.

• Promote good behaviour and positive interactions between pupils.

• Organise and oversee safe, engaging playground activities.

• Assist with minor first aid and any incidents that may arise.

• Ensure pupils return to class ready to learn after lunch.

Ideal Year 1 Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with young children, ideally in a school setting.

• Friendly, patient, and approachable manner as a Year 1  Teaching Assistant.

• Ability to manage behaviour positively and calmly.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
