Job description

Year 5 Primary Teacher required to start straight after half term at an exceptional school in Welwyn Garden City! This is an Ofsted 'Outstanding' school where the successful Primary Teacher will be going into a class who are in the main well above the national average in all subjects. The position of Primary Teacher - Year 5 would suit NQT's as well as those with more experience and will be offered on a contract basis until July 2020 in the first instance. The school are seeking to appoint a permanent replacement Primary Teacher in September 2020 and if the initial contract period is a success the candidate would be warmly encouraged to apply.

  • You should have good decision making skills
  • Experience of teaching classes with 30 pupils would be a definite advantage
  • Candidates should display creativity and an ability to inspire pupils through the planning, preparation and delivery of highly stimulating, motivating and well sequenced lessons
  • Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum is a pre-requisite for the role
