Step Teachers to furlough agency staff!
The ethos of Step Teachers means we always want to do the right thing; so we are pleased to announce that we will again furlough our agency staff.
We will be contacting those eligible, but please be aware that under the Government’s CJRS guidelines, not everyone will be eligible. Moreover, our ability to offer furlough comes at a significant cost (ENIC, Pensions, Apprenticeship Levy and Payroll) at a time when we have no real income.
We have also been working hard to establish what, if any, demand exists for our agency staff in the schools that have remained open for vulnerable children and the children of critical workers. The encouraging news is, there is definitely more demand compared to the first lockdown, so you may well be hearing from us.
Finally, we do wholeheartedly understand the stress and anxiety this situation has created and we hope our decision demonstrates our desire to support you.
