At Step Teachers, we believe in the power of movement—not just in the classroom, but in the community too. That’s why we’re thrilled to celebrate our very own Lauren, South West Consultant and dancing dynamo, who recently hosted a special one-off adult Jazz class and raised £135 for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity for children and young people’s mental health.
Originally setting out with a target of £100, Lauren didn’t just meet it—she smashed it! 💥 Thanks to her energy, passion, and the generous support of everyone who joined the class or donated, every beat and every step helped raise vital funds to support mental health in the younger generation.
🗓️ The class took place on 9th June, welcoming dancers of all abilities to move together for a meaningful cause. With mental health challenges continuing to rise among all age groups, especially the youth, this fundraiser couldn’t have come at a more important time.

Why YoungMinds?
Mental health matters—and it matters most when we invest in it early. YoungMinds provides crucial resources, advocacy, and support for children and young people across the UK who are struggling with their mental health. By fundraising for them, Lauren and the Stepercise team are helping to ensure these services remain accessible and impactful.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who showed up, stepped in, and supported Lauren’s class. 🙏 Whether you danced your heart out, shared the event, or contributed a donation, you’ve helped push us closer to our wider £5,000 fundraising goal.
Stay tuned as Team Step Teachers continues to step up for mental health! Together, we’re making a difference—one move at a time. 💪
