Job description
Admin/Receptionist – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting December 2025
We are seeking a professional and approachable Admin/Receptionist to join a welcoming and inclusive school environment. The school provides a calm and purposeful atmosphere where pupils feel safe and supported. Staff have high expectations and work together to ensure pupils achieve well and develop strong personal and social skills. Leaders are ambitious for all pupils and provide effective support to help them succeed.
Duties as Admin/Receptionist:
- Greet visitors, staff and pupils in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer telephone calls and manage email correspondence
- Maintain accurate records and update school databases
- Provide administrative support to senior staff and teaching teams
- Manage incoming and outgoing post
- Assist with attendance and pupil data tracking
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Ideal Admin/Receptionist:
- Previous experience in a school office or administrative role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office and school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
