Caretaker – Part-time, long-term temporary and ongoing, starting immediately

Duties as Caretaker:

Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained
Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks promptly
Monitor and maintain health and safety standards across the site
Manage site security, including opening and closing the school
Support with setting up rooms and facilities for school activities
Liaise with contractors and report any major maintenance issues
Uphold safeguarding and compliance requirements at all times

Ideal Caretaker:

Previous experience in a similar role within a school or facilities environment is desirable
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site security
Practical skills for minor repairs and maintenance
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining a safe environment for pupils and staff
Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service
