Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join a thriving and supportive science department at a forward-thinking secondary school.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a passion for science, a strong understanding of the curriculum, and a commitment to inspiring the next generation of scientists. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Chemistry Teacher:
Deliver engaging and challenging Chemistry lessons that support excellent student progress.
Plan, prepare and assess students' work in line with curriculum and exam board requirements.
Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing Science Department.
Monitor student progress, provide targeted support, and promote a positive learning environment.
Participate in school events, science enrichment activities, and departmental meetings.
Ideal Chemistry Teacher:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Has a degree in Chemistry or a related science subject.
Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Chemistry Teacher.
Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and continuous professional growth.
