Step Teachers are currently looking for a Computer Science Teacher in West Devon for a full time role for one academic term. This Computer Science Teacher role is a long term supply role starting after the Easter break continuing until the summer holidays. 

This Secondary School are looking for a teacher who can make a positive impact on the school and support the children to achieve both academically and in their social skills. The school aims for students to leave as well rounded individuals who are ready to take the next step in their lives.

Role of a Computer Science Teachers:

• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Computer Science curriculum
• Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements of a Computer Science Teacher:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Computer Science Teacher in a Secondary School
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• A relevant ICT or Computer Science related degree is desirable.
• SEND experience is desirable
