Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic computer science lessons that cater to students' diverse interests and abilities.
  • Integrate cutting-edge technologies and tools to enhance the learning experience.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore and experiment with coding languages, algorithms, and software applications.
  • Provide personalized support and feedback to students to promote their mastery of computer science concepts.
  • Organize extracurricular activities, hackathons, and coding clubs to further enrich students' learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and initiatives that integrate computer science into various subject areas.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Computer Science.
  • Proven experience teaching computer science at the KS3/KS4 level.
  • As a Computer Science Teacher, you need to have strong knowledge of programming languages, algorithms, and computational thinking.
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for computer science.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
