Cover Administrator
Job description
We are seeking an organised and proactive Cover Administrator to join a team from November 2025 to provide maternity cover. In this key support role, you will be responsible for coordinating daily staff cover, ensuring classes are appropriately supervised, and maintaining smooth operation of the school timetable.
Duties as Cover Administrator:
Organise and allocate cover for absent teaching and support staff.
Maintain accurate records of staff absences and cover arrangements.
Communicate daily cover requirements to staff and supply agencies.
Support the wider administrative team with general office tasks as required.
Ideal Cover Administrator:
Strong organisational and communication skills as Cover Administrator.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Confident using IT systems such as Microsoft Office and school management software (training provided if necessary).
Previous school administration or scheduling experience is desirable but not essential.
