Job description

Our Norwich branch is working closely with an alternative provision school in Lowestoft that is seeking a long-term cover supervisor to join their team as soon as the right candidate is found.  The right candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies whilst having the confidence to adapt to ever-changing situations.  This is a full-time vacancy offered through Step Teachers and is ongoing.

As a cover supervisor you will;

  • Ensure the class are on target with the pre-set work
  • Manage behaviour in accordance with the schools' behaviour policy
  • Deliver feedback to teachers/pastoral staff where necessary

As a cover supervisor we require;

  • Experience working with young people
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour management
  • The desire to positively inspire young people

Our ideal candidate will either be an existing cover supervisor within a school or someone with extensive experience working with secondary aged children, you may even be a qualified teacher looking for a role with less marking and planning commitments.
