Position: Cover Supervisor

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire

Start Date: September 2024

Cover Supervisor Role:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain on task.
  • Assisting with the development of educational resources.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders.

Cover Supervisor Requirements:

  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in working with Secondary School students.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • The ability to adapt to various subjects and year groups.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • A relevant degree is desirable.
