Cover Supervisor

A motivated and adaptable Cover Supervisor is required to support the delivery of lessons across a range of subjects in a busy and dynamic secondary school environment. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals considering a career in education or for those with experience working with young people. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff

• Ensure students remain on task and follow the lesson plans provided

• Maintain a calm and orderly classroom environment

• Manage behaviour in line with the school's policies

• Provide feedback to the appropriate teacher regarding student progress and conduct

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students (11–16 years), either in education, youth work, or similar roles

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Cover Supervisor.

• The ability to manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively

• Flexibility and a positive, professional attitude

• A genuine interest in supporting student learning and development
