Duties as Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students stay on task.

• Manage classroom behaviour and respond to questions where appropriate.

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and provide feedback on student progress.

• Support the wider school community with general duties and cover work.

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Has a degree in any subject (or is about to graduate).

• Is confident, calm and has a positive presence in the classroom.

• Can build rapport with students and act as a role model.

• Is considering a future in education, youth work or training.

• Has excellent communication and organisation skills as a Cover Supervisor.
