Job description
We are seeking adaptable Cover Supervisors in Abingdon and the surrounding areas for daily and long-term roles in secondary schools, starting as soon as possible.
Cover Supervisor Duties:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects and year groups
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils in staying on task and completing assigned work
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress
- Uphold safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
Ideal Candidate – Cover Supervisor:
- Has experience working in a secondary school setting
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
- Is confident supervising pupils across different key stages and subjects
- Has a proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning
- Holds relevant qualifications or training (e.g. degree, TA qualification, Cover Supervisor training)
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
