Job description
Cover Supervisor – Daily supply from as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Cover Supervisors who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings in Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
Duties as Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement
- Support pupils with their learning and encourage participation
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in an educational setting
- Confident managing classroom behaviour and engaging learners
- Adaptable across different subjects and year groups
- Reliable, professional, and able to follow school procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Cover Supervisor
- A degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
